Is the beta server really empty?

Since I started on it last night the server count is always 0 and a /who all returns nothing. Am I really the only one playing on it? Or is there something about the server I'm not understanding?

Yes it is :(

I stopped playing on it when the patch change forced you to have 2 EQ directories. It may have been necessary for some server side code changes for beta, but it makes playing beta much more annoying.

Takes 3 minutes to copy your EQ folder and past it back in same folder rename it to beta and make a new Eqgame.exe shortcut. That is if you installed EQ correctly the first time you did it.

its sad when Thulack displays qualities of non-lazyness that myself and Daldaen do not possess

this is what is wrong with the new beta system, it has turned reality upside down

We jump in there as a guild sometimes when we're not busy raiding. hit us up when you see us, I'm usually on Artech. I'm trying to setup a guild named Asgard in there but staff have been busy I guess.

Well maybe a to do list and people scheduling open raids would help

I wasn't aware that two directories were necessary, so I installed over my old copy. Now I have to reinstall everything. If you could be more clear on the beta installation, I think it would go a long way towards preventing others from doing the same thing.

Did you try just copying the latest patch for p99 back into that directory to override the beta files? Not p99's fault some people just aren't that smart when it comes to PC's. You would think after 15 years of playing on them people would have some common sense about stuff.
