300+ sustained population is what we need to make the waiting list so long for loot in Nihilum that another guild will break off. If a wipe does this then whatever, fuck it.

This is how things happen naturally when they aren't forced. Once making a new guild is a path for quicker progression for the less tenured members of the number 1 guild a new guild is created. Population is key and unfortunately not too much can be done about that.

lot of truth to this, which is why I advocate for blue copies, the only way to get the pop potentially to 300+ consistently.

Kergan making alot of sense lately.

so would mobs not being perfectly lined up for months at the time which Simulated repops was supposed to resolve.

Kergan 06-06-2014 06:15 PM

The server is better if there are multiple guilds that can win a PVP battle and the chance to kill the raid target, regardless if the spawn time is known or not. I really don't want to start the whole variance debate again.

lite 06-06-2014 06:38 PM

It is not with the intention of igniting a variance debate. This was the solution the staff found to the problem, and it was going well. However, apparently it requires Rogean manually triggering it ... and that right there is the flaw, and the reason we go months without sim repops which would properly emulate classic patch days that properly split things apart. The saddest part of the whole thing is not using this solution in a time where the server's population was at the best its been in ages. Letting this momentum go to absolute waste.

The only debate for variance exists in your mind. The rest of us know its stupid.

If the top guilds don't waste time on all the old content in velious, 300 sustained is very possible. Can't see guilds coming here with the only hope of raiding being fear clears.

You are one of the many blue players that enjoys commenting in these forums. Pretty sure you have already illustrated to anyone who has bothered to read any post you have written that you are at *best* ignorant and otherwise uninformed.

The only people who argue against variance are people who have played on blue and try to equate blue to red, or people who are in Nihilum and would stand to lose time (if not pixels) if variance was implemented.

Nirgon 06-06-2014 07:12 PM

Give me the power to cause the repop.

I will do it randomly.

Also I think Willan has mentioned he would like a wipe.
