ducking to stop casting shouldnt be in game yet

i saw it some where on thread about the ducking to stop spell casting not being classic and i found the patch note of when ducking to stop spell casting was put in. well into the velious era. so it shouldnt be in game yet. here is the link

Everyone knows this. Devs don't want to change it on blue.

Dillian 06-10-2014 01:33 PM

ahh well there would prolly be a mass uprising with a Occupy EC tunnel or something if they changed it

Tecmos Deception 06-10-2014 01:39 PM

Eh. When I leveled my chanter on red, I didn't really feel like it was a big deal. Clickies refreshing gems is a way bigger + than no ducking to interrupt is a -, imo. Guess it would suck for clerics CHing but so many spells that matter are fast-casting anyway, stuns and roots and stuff, that you have to be pretty bad about fatfingering the wrong ones for it to make a big difference overall.

This is what Nilbog had to say about it, previously,

Damn guys.

It worked like this till 2001. Unless you played something that cast no spells, this is something you should definitely remember.

In addition to this, you *should* be able to sit down during a long cast from a spell or clicky. As long as you are standing when it completes, it should resolve and cast.

I hope this is a joke. It obviously takes a lot more skill to pay attention to wtf you're doing and not cast the wrong spell.

I support it being added purely because it should classically be there until June, 2001. It wasn't added because pve had been up for multiple years. PvP server had the option of starting with it.

Regardless, this is the pvp bugs section, so working as intended until midway Velious.

You soon learn :p

Should remove it on PvP.

Skittlez 06-11-2014 12:54 AM

I have never used this ducking to stop casting nonsense. If I hit the wrong spell I move so it doesn't resolve but that's about it. Just don't click the wrong shit and your good.
