Good Spell Resources
In the course of playing my shaman and necro I've wanted to check some pretty basic things, like what spells I get at a given level, what merchants sell them, what the spells do (e.g. how much damage a dot does and how long it lasts, what the level range of a summoned pet is), and so on. Fellow P99ers have pointed me to the wiki linked in the Library thread, and to this website: http://www.crys.org/everquest/spells.htm
Unfortunately, the wiki is extremely lacking in information, and the spell site is full of inaccuracies, omissions, and post-classic information (this last point is not as important as the first two, though). I've also been told to look at Caster's Realm in the Web Archive, but it loads super-slowly for me. I've looked in Allakhazam as well, but it also doesn't really have all the information I'm looking for (e.g. pet level ranges). Does anyone know of any good EQ spell resources? If they have a lot of accurate information it's not as important that they're classic, though classic is obviously preferable. |
The Wayback Machine is your friend for classic information. I don't have specific examples of spell lists, but certain class websites will be archived in that, and there's also the general resource sites.

Not sure what class you are but for WIZ spells I use THIS

I usually refer to http://lucy.alkabor.com/

that wayback machine searching for casters realm around 2001 is probably the best spell resource imo.

Absolutely second the castersrealm comment, just use the following link and replace enchanter with the class you're interested in...

Yeah, looks like the web archive is the way to go. Thanks; like I said in the original post, I'd tried it and it was super-laggy, but mgellan's link works fine for some reason.

The following list has all the archived spell lists combined as well as a ton of other archived info:
