Frostbite didnt puke

I gave a Regurgatonic to Frostbite and didn't get a Koalindl fish back in exchange.

Doesn't he also not puke if he doesn't have the fish in his loot inventory?

You got a bad regurgitonic. It's a 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 chance. Only way to tell is by casting identify on it before making the trip from Ak'Anon to WK. Intended effect.

And people had the gall to post in that "Most useless spell" thread saying identify was useless! That'll learn them.

I had no idea you could get a bad regurgitonic. Jeeze early EQ devs were brutal.

Lol so many casters dont have the spell. It's usefulness while small is very helpful in those circumstances that it is needed.

No. Quest scripts don't depend on inventory. They end with a summonitem(#####); line, which in practical terms, causes the character to generate the item onto their cursor with permission of the server.

Fascinating, thanks for the insight! I guess there was a lot of nonsense comments by (well meaning?) EQers in the forums of yesteryear!

Verant intended for the spell to be required to see the stats on an item. It led to all sorts of problems and got scrapped.
