Have to buy it? Or can you grab it free somewhere?

Have to buy it to be able to connect to any public servers.

Id say Rust will give you more bang for your buck in its current state.

Never played either, but I have watched friends with that ARMA mod. Looks kinda fun; in a rage induce sort of way.

Its old and played out.... With more bugs then ever...... Keep a close eye out for H1Z1 .....

Dayz best game out right now. Permadeath pvp full item loot zombies scavenger survivor mode.

Still alpha but their active with lots of sweet shit on the roadmap

Just got 2 patches within few weeks; new cities, clothes, weapons, grenades...

But can you bash the heads of naked cavemen with their wieners hanging out with a rock?

Yeah H1Z1 is looking good. DayZ been pretty fun so far

Afaik the mod version is still better than the standalone.

While the standalone has more customization and weapon options, it seems to have a lot more bugs.

I do pop in every now and then, though. Just to see if anyone is playing.
