Another Spellsus.txt thread...
 

I know the Devs and helpful people on this thread continuously answer these questions, but I feel I have a different case.

First of all, my spell icons are for the most part correct. Although, there are a few that don't seem to be matched up with the correct icon. I've followed all of the forum posts, guides, etc that I could stand to read. Savok has been a large help, and Nilbog's post as well.

Which ones don't line up? Looks fine to me.

You have to remember that 'Classic' is based around a total of 23 icons as opposed to the 100+ of luclin era. The difference in the last two months is that we have been able to show the clients base ability to always show the color background type of the spell (personal, group, direct target, AE etc). These were already here yet the system of classic still only has the 23 base icons so treeform would use the thornshield range just like in classic. Snare and SoW would both use a boot etc.

This will be the same throughout project1999 right through Velious.

Stinging Swarm (shouldn't be a wolf), Roots, Treeform (these two shoudn't be thorns icon)

Edit: I feel like the icons are fine, but the spell data telling the client what icons to use is messed up.

The attached image are the original EQ release 'classic' icons. Please tell me which icon was used for Stinging Swarm? (I'll give you a clue - it looked like a wolf)

Ah that does bring my memory back. I do remember stinging swarm being a wolf head.

If you click options/load skin.
Than load up velious.
Everything should be classic if you got all the new files.
Depends what ui you want to use.
