Question regarding rules when camping rare spawns (Grimrot)

What are the rules when camping a spawn like Grimrot?

Can someone claim its his camp if hes just got him timed and logs on 5-10 mins before each spawn, vs people that actually sit there for several hours in game and actually camp him?

Back on live that was regarded as kill stealing iirc.

Whoever's at the camp, gets the camp afaik

if the placeholder or placeholders for a spawn are being killed, that 'camp' can be considered held by the player doing the killing so long as they are keeping the placeholders cleared.

Please make sure you include the whole section when quoting ;)

You do not necessarily need to be at the spawn point to call it 'claimed' while it is uncontested, however, if someone else wishes to contest the 'camp' you do need to return to the 'camp' and maintain a presence at or very near the spawn(s) in order to hold it. It should also be noted that if you camp out or leave the zone, you have forfeited a camp.

5 minute piss break between long spawns is fine, as long as your character is present at spawn point. Example: if you kill Hadden (or whoever) set a timer, log out then log back in and someone else is there then it's their camp. Doesn't mean jack-shit if you killed the PH 8 hours ago and logged out, napped and logged back in 30 seconds before. If someone else was actively there before you then you have forfeited.

There may be a 2-3 minute ruling if someone is afk and in position to engage.
Edit: 2-3 minutes if AFK and in position to engage. Kids, dogs and pooping are kinda random ya know.

No, they can't claim it if they logged out.

I can vouch for this. I was running by at times just for some faction kills and the same people kept logging back & forth all wanting a shot at Lord G (whichever version)*

I did this in one day on live with a lone halfling cleric - but that was many years ago...

...and...don't know if this is just uber rare here.

I camped Grimrot for 3 days straight on live in 2001. Got both versions, was given Aegis of Life. Immediately healed self with it trying to solo because I WAS UBER!!1!

Was simple. Ran my character to the camp, killed PH. Set timer, and while leaving my character online and at the camp still, I'd take a nap. 3...days...straight. Was never contested at the camp. I got my shit and left.
