Error with new update?

I downloaded the new update and extracted it to my P99 folder like usual but now I am getting an error message when I try to start the game. It is saying "eqgame.exe - application error" then in the window it says "the application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click OK to close the application."

I have downloaded and put in the new update files before this and never came across this error. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I am getting the same error code. I was able to play two days ago with no issues and there have been no changes to my system as I have automatic updates turned off.

Any advice?

I might try reinstalling Titanium tonight and reapplying the v33 patch.

Alright so I took the advice of someone else and made the dsetup.dll file an exception on my antivirus, works fine now!

side note. I still can not figure out how to get Norton to skip said file. Ideas?

I reinstalled the game and followed all the steps on the Getting Started post and I am still getting the 0xc0000022 error. I don't have Norton installed so no way to white label the file. Any ideas anyone?

Update: I uninstalled AVG (it needed an update anyway) and the game loads now.

In case someone gets to this post from search ...
