any experience dealing with lokiana?

i was auctioning wanting to buy Ro armor yesterday and i was sent a tell from this person offering to make it for me half now half upfront. obviously not wanting to lose pp on a complete stranger i declined. i also understand how they wouldnt want to farm mats for a customer who would not pay. has anyone had armor made by him before? any info would be great its realy difficult to find Ro for sale.

Never, ever...never...pay for anything up-front.

If they want to make a sale, they're more than capable of doing the legwork or farming the mats.

When in doubt, don't. You made the right choice by declining, whether they were legit or not.

follow up, this person was honest and made me my legs without and pp up front after some negotiation.

Something seems wrong about buying quested armor.

Its easier to farm plat and have someone do the quest for you then to do all those pain in the ass quests solo.

Its just low lvl gear anyways.

I know some people would rather buy than quest but I just don't get it. Why play a game like this if you don't want to do the quests. It's in the name after all. To each his own, I guess... except that then the people who want to do the quest can't because the NPCs are kept down by people farming for the sale.

The title of EQ is kind of ironic considering most people only do a couple quests in classic (pre-sky).

I'm always suspicious when people ask for money up front. And i can say i've never given anyone money up front. I consider myself trustworthy, but i'll never ask someone to trust me.

Saying that i have had situations where i've made jewellery for someone for them to say "oh wait, that's not the thing i wanted". "really? because i just wasted a black sapphire to make this .................." ... i digress :p

Yeah, never give money to someone for nothing. It's just opening the opportunity for you to be ripped off.
