Enchant metals spells still require gems
 

According to the June 24, 2014 patch notes:

"Enchant Steel (Apr2001) removed gem component
Enchant Silver (o) updated mana 60 => 80
Enchant Mithril (Apr2001) removed gem component
Enchant Brellium (Apr2001) removed gem component
Enchant Adamantite (Apr2001) removed gem component"

However, when I tried to have some mithril enchanted today, the enchanter got feedback saying he was missing a component (the blue diamond), and it ate my mithril bar.

It's not Apr2001 yet.

Perhaps I'm missing something about how the patch notes work. Explain

The patch note was edited to show various updates that have or will happen to spells, not that those spells were edited in that patch. These changes will occur 4-5 months after Velious releases on P99, the equivalent of April 2001.

We are currently at the end of November 2000. The week before Velious.
