Trooper Frogzin Not Where He's Supposed To Be?
 

Hey all, newcomer to P99/returning EQ addict (played religiously from 1999-2004) looking for some quest help.

I'm doing the Restraining Order quest from the Clerk in East Cabalis and the P99 Wiki says that Trooper Frogzin is supposed to be in Lake of Ill Omen, standing guard by the city gate. But the spot where he should be in normally is empty. The only one there at his proper post is Trooper Digdul. Is this a bug, or was the Wiki wrong about Frogzin's loc?

Any help would be really appreciated! =3

Never rely 100% on the wiki. I think in its first incarnation it was imported from somewhere else in the "not classic" sense...the community here works hard to get it correct but its a big task!

Did you find the Trooper? If you feel up to it, putting the correct troopers at the correct locations will help the next guys doing the same quest :)

No sign of him yet, no, and no one in-game's replied to any of my inquiries. =/

I imagine he can't be too far into LoIO, seeing as how the Restraining Order quest is intended for level 5-ish players. Tho could be that he's not even in that zone at all. T.T;;

Check the LOIO/FV zoneline. I think he is one of the Iksar Troopers doing god's work slaying infidels entering the Iksar Empire.

Edit: it's a bug, but it makes for great "lore" created on the fly. For us Iksars, anyway ;)

Yes, he was bugged out halfway across the zone. He's reset now, and should be in the proper place (you'll still have to find him though!)

Success! I just returned to the Lake of Ill Open and sure enough, as soon as I zoned in, he was standing right where he was supposed to be. Thanks very much for the awesomely quick response, and for all the replies! =3

Twice recently he's been on the platform in the middle of LOIO just hangin' out. Maybe he's camping bloodgills?
