Best Anti-Aliasing settings?
Any way to set high levels of anti aliasing and not make all your text incredibly blurry? I run an ATI card with the 10.8 drivers, and I can really only use AA at 2x in "box" mode. I also run it using super-sample, not multi-sample. Some other textures look fairly blurry, but otherwise the character models look spectacular at 8xAA.
On a side note, I run 16x Anistropic Filtering without any issues. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you. |
If you are using a fairly high desktop resolution, then you don't need more than 2x AA with EQ.

Also, ive noticed SSAA like you mentioned can make certain textures a little blurry but im not sure why, so ive stuck to MSAA. Again, in this game its not any kind of real difference... |
I actually found a good balance at 4x AA Adaptive Multisample, in Box Mode. Contrary to resolution thing, I actually do see a slight difference.
Also, turning AA and AF up has the artificial effect of having my graphics card stop throttling down due to "lack of load" which is another problem entirely. :-P Thanks for the help though. Now if only shadows didn't suck really bad... |
