"Plelper provided few other details about standalone HBO service; he didn't mention pricing, timing, or device support for the service. It may not fully replicate HBO Go, the network's popular app that gives pay-TV subscribers online access to nearly the full breadth of all HBO's current and past shows as well as movies. But Plepler said the company will work with its current partners, code for pay-TV companies like Comcast and DirecTV that fiercely protect their distribution of networks like HBO."

I'll just keep paying the extra 10 a month, thanks.

Extra 10? Yah ok

Kergan 10-15-2014 03:05 PM

If I can get current episodes of shows for lets say, $10 a month, I'd cancel my cable subscription when it isn't football season. That would save me $1000+/yr.

I don't need their entire catalog, or even movies really. I just need my Boardwalk Empire, True Detective type shit you feelers?

The point is that you don't need cable so it is the cable cost you are cutting not. It isn't the difference between the full subscription and internet subscription price people are excited about.

Phone is next to nothing (I assume you are talking about a land line) and internet is like $40-$60? So you would save about $100 per month minus whatever else you spend to substitute your cable.

I can't do it because I like watching sports too much.
