Long loading time with SSDs

Got a new laptop with 2 x SSDs in RAID 0. Loading slower than I used to with just 1, and I'm also getting small bursts of freezing that tend to turn me completely around if I'm on the move. Must be something I'm missing here?

Tried installing on a 7200RPM HDD and had the same issues. Fixed by using RAMdisk.

If you're running any kind of AV program with active scanning, that is likely the problem.
