Is this server chill?
 

One thing I would like to point out since joining this server and forum is that for the most part people are pretty chill. I have been a part of pet and photography forums in the past, and either you are slowing killing your dog or all your photos suck. Here it seems if you mess up here it is funny and people try to help you.

My opinion..only :)

The vast majority of us here have "been there, done that" and are trying to enjoy the experience of the Old World again. We're older, wiser, and react to trolls and flames and gametards a whole lot slower than the first time around.

We've made or witnessed probably every mistake that can be made while playing this game, and I think we're a lot more forgiving of people. I think most of us aren't the driven, raid-hungry beasts we were years back, and that's made us more mellow.

Or maybe this is just me, lol.

I think there are a lot of folks like Glaani describes. But, clearly, there are those that are driven to beat the content since every raid boss has been beaten (except for maybe some POSky mobs - Eye of Veeshan maybe?). Guilds such as Inglorious Basterds are clearly focused on endgame.

But a LOT of us are just chunking through the old content and enjoying ourselves :)

And, unlike Glaani, I speak for all players on the server =P

I prefer to think of myself as older and wiser.

In 1999 I was a single and hung out in bars and worked out obsessively. EQ was as much about the competition as anything.

Now I am a married father of 2 who tries to get a walk in after dinner and before the kids need to be picked up from wherever, and have a few hours to myself after the kids and wifey go to bed.

Oh man this is such an awesome server. Second day in and I already met like 4 really cool people that helped me out. I'm liking it better than live (what?) yeah way better than live so far :)
