Wow I feel stupid. I'm about halfway through, watching it on HBO. Great movie so far.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou prob my favorite Wes Anderson film. But I enjoy them all

Ravager 12-05-2014 03:38 PM

Wes Anderson movies are hit and miss. I like his style, but some of his movies just feel like first drafts. I only saw this one once and I don't remember much about it, so it must have been a miss.

Tameth 12-05-2014 04:35 PM

I disagree Ravager. Darjeeling is one of his best in my opinion. Royal Tenenbaums being the absolute best. Life Aquatic is great, Mr. Fox was very good. I wasn't huge on Grand Budapest or Rushmore though... Moonrise should not be missed.

radditsu 12-05-2014 06:37 PM

Darjeeling is the best movie. I have tried so hard to really quantify my order of favorite wes anderson movies. and when I do it always seems like Royal Tenenbaums drops too far.

Its always life aquatic, darjeeling limited, moonrise kingdom/royal Tenenbaums with 3 and 4 swapping so much.

When the movie changes gears and that Kinks song hits its the best fucking thing ever.

radditsu 12-05-2014 06:38 PM

Moonrise Kingdom is fantastic. It seems to be a more forgotten one. Bottle Rocket is good but its very owen wilsony.

radditsu 12-05-2014 06:38 PM

Fantastic Mr Fox is good, but cant crack the top ones. havent had a chance to see the new one.

radditsu 12-05-2014 06:39 PM

Oh fuck i totally forgot to add rushmore,

Rushmore, life aquatic, darjeeling, moonrise/royal. THATS why it seemed so off.

Man i may be able to sleep tonight.
