Stuck in Cabilis
 

Not sure if this is the right place for this or not. I'm returning after taking a few months off, and have found myself stuck. Trying to access the upper towers of the Shaman/SK guild in Cabilis to buy some spells for my Necro. If you're familiar with the area, you've gotta climb up a ladder and somehow turn/jump to land on the platform where the merchants are. I tried for about 20 minutes last night but couldn't get it to work. I couldn't reverse jump while still on the ladder, or forward jump from the top of the ladder to land it. Any tips/pointers here?

Were you in first person view looking up toward the platform when you jumped?

I coulda sworn I tried every conceivable angle/view/direction I could think of, but no dice. I either didn't move at all, or simply fell off the ladder.

I actually got stuck here too. It was shear persistence in my case. I found that if I jumped from the ladder to the closest ledge in third person view. I would get stuck there.... I could then go into first person view and jump again, and in some cases again, and again. I may have also just gated out to FoB....

My impression of those vendors is that once you get to them you have to go down, and run out the bottom. Not sure you were ever intended to go "up" those ladders.

Yeah... spent about 45 minutes figuring that out once. Once! I never go up there again.

I get stuck on those blasted ladders every.single.time.

Aim up at an angle and jump. It does take some practice (and is seriously annoying).

I rolled a iksar necro, went to buy spells, couldn't get out of the building with the ladders .... 30 minutes later i rolled a DE necro. /cue Boston "Don't Look Back"

it's a ridiculous design for that city not to have stairs in those buildings.

I don't play with lizzies, so cannot help with any advice about that backwards city :/ I can however reiterate the usefulness of fist person view when navigating ladders ^^
