just starting on Red

Heya,

I moved over from blue to see how Red is. I'm rolling a chanter, level 7 currently. If anyone is interested in joining me, let me know. I can be on at any hour of the day, depends on work.

awesome dude, it's a tough road but a lot of fun.

please let me know which zone so I can bring you a gift basket of happy flowers!

I hope you're good at enchanter, they are tough to play pvp coz you use different spells than pve, so easy to get caught off guard.

Serious friendly newb tips: 1) keep gate memmed and never drop under 100 mana with players in area 2) keep see invis up at all times. rogue+pumice=easy newb ganks

Thanks for the tips.

Since this is my first character. What class do you recommend?

Im currently in Qeynos hills as a erudite, havnt bound nearby yet *gulps* so might be headed back to Toxxulia soon

Lol basically this guy is paranoid. Should ask lite for them camera angles so you can actually med and not gate away with 100 mana and players in zone.

Naked/low level casters are pretty difficult to pvp with due to low mana pools, lack of spells. Don't get discouraged. Don't stress about PvP.

Most of the time is just easier to bind frequently and eat a gank than waste a gem slot. Most people are pretty cool and won't mess with you too much assuming you don't completely freak out upon getting killed.

General leveling path follows gfay>CB>Unrest>MM. If you're looking for groups up to the mid 30s that's where you'll find the majority of them. PKs will be pretty thick but just bank frequently and bind close, you'll out level them quickly.

Personally, I'd recommend waiting to join a guild until you've had a chance to feel out the situation as it's constantly in flux and there is no reason to burn potential group partners on your way to 60 because of a tag you derive very little benefit from.

Group with everyone, don't burn bridges and learn to pvp.

Yeah... no pvp to watch out for on PVP server ever for newbs... Sounds like Holoscum propaganda to me.

Nothing wrong with playing enchanter OP, any class you'll want to follow those tips when applicable. Play what you enjoy playing.

What can you do with the camera angles besides mousewheel out and the different F9 ones?

I got a bind at Qeynos, woot! Im spending some time reading up on the pvp stuff, like will guards aggro if you are attacked from another player nearby. Some players con Indiff and others Threatingly, not sure whats that about yet

Thanks everyone for the responses
