The mapping utilities and 1999 log directory?
I must be missing something ?
So, i have tried setting logging to TRUE in the ini file and also the /log on in the client but I am still unable to find where the 1999 client is logging to? I even tried creating a log directory under the /program files x86/sony/everquest folder but still nothing .... I am unable to get Norrathmaps etc to work as I cant find the logging directory? searching for dbg.txt comes up with nothing ? you guys have any ideas thank you |
Play the game how everyone else is.

The map is disabled on p99

im interested in this as well, not for norrathmaps but just for log parsing and documentation. I Have tried enabling my logs both in the .ini as well as the prompt in game, but I still have no logs folder in my directory and cannot find where else they would be. Norrathmaps seems cool but if you are at all new, i would really suggest getting the experience of having no maps/having to do research/the joy of getting lost.

Make sure your permissions are set up on your pc to allow file changes, etc (administration access)

im not at home at the moment, but when i try to run my p99 with right click "run as admin" i get weird errors that wont let the game launch. ill have to look into it further. |
It's best to simply not have your EQ folder in Program Files. Put it in the root directory.
Also, check your <User>/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files(x86)/Sony/EverQuest folder. Logs and Screenshots often get pushed there when the permissions are set wrongly. AppData is a hidden folder, so you will have to have Windows set to show hidden folders/files. |
You can also start>run %appdata% if you dont want to change your view permissions.
