Primal Avatar Spell
 

This is currently on the Beta Gnomes and I would imagine is dropping in Sleeper's Tomb.

This is confirmed, NOT CLASSIC. Primal Avatar should not enter game until LATE Velious.

It doesn't exist in the spell data from April 2001, nor any of the spell website lists from August 2001. Nor is any mention of the spell made pre-2002 on Allakhazam.

Doesn't exactly prove that it was non existent, unless your basing it solely off the absence of spell file.

Based off the fact the spell isn't present in the 2001 January or April spell files.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I remember reading a thread disputing those spell files as "beta" values. Is that true or is that just urban myth?

p99's current spell file was sourced from the pre-release spdat dated 3/14/00 that shipped on the Kunark CD, which has led to many discrepancies between spells on p99 and those in post-release Kunark spdats and onwards.

Anyway, he's talking about post-release velious spdats, which might as well be gospel truth for all intents and purposes. Primal Avatar doesn't exist in the 4/04/01 spdat, but it does in the Trilogy release spdat dated 8/22/01.

If we can approximate a date, I will add a rule to not drop until that time.

Also, some Japanese guild's ST raid summary dated 7/22/01 showing that it dropped

Late June/Early July sounds about right.
