Forgot about the struggle...

Just came to P1999 a few weeks ago, and have had a blast so far.

But I'm struggling! I'm a level 20 enchanter. I can solo but I made an enchanter to do group things so soloing is not optimal.

I've been everywhere - LOIO, Guk, Oasis, Najena, Lake Rathe, etc.

I'm struggling though, because it's log on and:
a.) Find a group
b.) Not find a group and just solo til boredom makes me log off
c.) Run forever to a new XP area and start back at option A.

Most of the time I log on, /ooc that I'm LFG, and if nothing comes up I just log back off.

Am I doing it wrong? Do people really use the /lfg menu? Where should I be at 20?

You need to start your own groups! Start sending people tells, wether they are lfg or not, send tells to folks in adjacent zones too. I remember doing unrest/karanas/guk in my 20s
Joining a guild with others your level would probably help too

Depending where you are at the moment, definitely advertise... if you want to be in a well populated zone, hit up Unrest at 20 and even Mistmoore if there's a spot at the lake - just keeping people hasted and breezed is useful.

Alternative group spots at 20:-

Upper Guk
Highpass (orcs or gnolls)
East Karana? Someone soloing might take you on board, charm a pet etc.
Oasis? Might be hanging on a bit, but some do to 21 there.
Warslik's Woods (giant fort)

Want some bearable solo work?

Erud's Crossing - kerrans (good semi-afk spot)
Paineel guards (some are 18ish, no faction hit)

+1 for starting your own group.

I have to agree. Playing on both blue and red I have found groups much faster by saying starting a group as opposed to LFG.

You can charm crocs in oasis until 24

I also see quite a few groups at the giant fort in WW.

You can do the brutes there also, saw a chanter go 28-32 on the brutes in just a couple days

20 might be a tad low, but pond groups in Mistmoore are a blast.

I've tanked in there on my crappy paladin at 20, we had some good dps thankfully so it wasn't too noticeable :p

Yea, I lingered in Oasis til 24. Definitely not exactly entertaining but the exp is good. The best part about being in Oasis at 22/23 is that most players are there for the DW Caimans and lower. You pretty much have your fill of all the DW Crocs - well, I at least found that to be the case!

MM is an AWESOME place. I definitely support the make your own group. I'm not sure how many times I just collected the people at zone and made our way to GY. Pond is usually camped, but people neglect GY. Definitely a viable exp spot if your puller can pull the lower canyon area as CE does not pull those.

Once you're higher and can get into a solid CE and eventually CY group, the exp is nuts until 40. I just dinged 41 and did it in a CY group. Slower... yes, but still decently fast, very lucrative.

Anyway, good luck!
