Request for devs to review Rune Etched drop rate
 

If at all possible, could a developer or GM comment on the intended vs actual drop rate of Rune Etched (Shaman) gear from the Spite Golems in Hate?

It seems the drop rate is far below that of all other classes. I do not recall this from classic, but I also did not play a shaman in classic either.

At the public raid a week ago shit-tons of shaman gear dropped, and barely any Bard gear dropped (same as the week before - each raid only piece of Bard gear dropped). It's just one of those things that happens.

I've done Hate countless times on Project 99, and I've gone easily 7 clears without seeing any piece of Shaman gear drop. But then I've seen 5 pieces drop in one raid. It's just the luck of the draw.

You will need to kill a few gnomes to please the Loot god. :)

I have done quite of number of Hate clearing w/o any cleric drop. Wait till you get almost all your gears till the last piece that you need, e.g. the bp, legging etc. They will be the one that act like a cock-tease and don't drop for you when you on on raid and only drop when you missed raid.....

Drop rate verified to be correct. Just bad luck.

It took me about 4 months to get a full set, averaging about 1.5 Hate raids per week.

The problem comes from the small amount of spite golems itself. You've got a handful sitting at pre-determined spawn points (e.g. 1 at zone-in, 2 near maestro organ) and then you have to hope that a few golem roamers popped.

Some classes have it easier (FU clerics) and others have it much worse (sup necros?).

heh. My rogues hate BP rotted while I was in the bathroom/getting a drink. bleh. We werent even pulling the section with lots of abhorrents.
