How rare are these darn things? been at it for like 2 hours now and not gotten a single peice

just press the forage button

Can take awhile.

It's all random. Sometimes I get one my first few forages in zone, sometimes it takes an hour.

Make sure you're in the right zones

Greater Faydark
Innothule Swamp

is it possible to get the items on a lvl 1 ranger using basically forage skill?

Wiki says forage skill of 100 necessary. Unsure if that is true or not.

2 hours would seem to be bad luck from personal experience.

I'm pretty sure there is no level requirement.

I don't know if there's a skill in the game that won't work at any skill level. You have a chance at lower levels, it's just bad.

Pick lock?

No particular level is needed, better levels maybe better forage chance? I scooped one in gfay at like level 5
