How do I know if I have been granted the IP exemption? Do they reply to the message or do I get an email?

smoke a bigass bowl and then try to log both of your boxes in. If you start seeing double 2-box permission has been granted.

Why is this in rants? People come here for rants. If it's not in any way a rant it usually turns into one. Against the OP!

Arite, lemme lay somethin down on ya, I think I have an idea how the system works--
-Either you know someone from the Dev/GM staff personally, or you don't. If you do, IP exemption will take a few hours or so, if you don't, you gotta wait a anywhere from 3 days to a week, and at that point if you dont have it, you probably ain't gettin it....,like everyone else.

Well there you go. See i took your question, and made it into a rant, how about that, eh?

The devs will respond with a yes or no answer in your petition thread.
