Bard gear to look out for?

Hey all!

So I've just started new on P99 this past week. I played Live for many, many years as a raider - but never a bard, which is what I've decided to roll here as I love the busy playstyle and large skill ceiling.

I'm currently level 10, mostly grouping as that's what I enjoy and will probably continue to do for the foreseeable future, and only kiting when I can't get a group.

With that in mind, I'm curious what gear I should have on my radar? So far, after having bought my songs and vendor instruments I'm sitting at a healthy 2 plat. I know I can level almost naked, and I know from forums/internet research that banded armor is the stuff I want to strive for to start - but is there anything that I can acquire nowish/soon that would help me out? Should I just try and farm cash and buy stuff, as I've also read that bards are pretty cheap to starter gear?

I'd love any help you guys are able to provide, and thanks for all of the information that I've already been able to glean from all of the forum posts!

goblin gazughi ring. you can farm it at relatively low lvl. which is good, because you can get exp while doing what can be a long camp.

a trip to mistmoore for mistmoore battle drums (common drop if you are pulling music room from CE). nostrolo tambourine quest (collect coins) is relatively easy too, just need to look up the camps and run around a little. can be fun if you never did it before.

honestly, drums and goblin gazughi ring are all you need. you could almost play naked with just those two items and it wouldn't make much of a difference for solo game play.

if you want to look cool, get a list of the lambent bits to collect as your lvl. they are are mid to low lvl dungeon drops. just go to the right places and you will have most of a lambent set in no time. this can be fun too, especially if never done them before.

weapons don't really matter much. i'd save for a breath of harmony and guardians mace (like pretty much every 45+ bard on the server without an epic).

Why would bard need that ring?

Charm killing. It's less valuable here since swarming doesn't really work as it should. But it still is nice to have instant break vs 3s break.

Yep as i readed on forums, charming as bard isn't good as kitting.
