Wizard in Velious
Come Velious is there anything significant like abilities/spells/gear/changes that Wizards get? My mind is drawing a blank except for translocates, bane spells, quest faction gear.

Take a peek at the greyed out Velious era spells there, there's a lot coming for the wizards... they won't be as unpopular as they are now imo :) I'd say they develop even more for Luclin/PoP but we'll never see them in that capacity here. Enjoy the translocating, nice way to port and not have to mess with loading screens each time :) |

The Wizard giant/dragon/dwarf quests have some decent gear as well as Plane of Mischief, but there are several pieces of Kunark gear that are essentially still BiS.
The uber all/all pieces that everyone has their tightey whiteys in a bunch about have been claimed already for a very long time. They will not be put on a Wizard for a long time and will go to raid tanks and other melees first. There are several excellent pieces of loot that are droppable and will fetch a pretty penny. The Dragon/Giant nukes work on limited targets and youll only ever cast them if you are in a "raid guild" Translocate is awesome, Ice Spear of Solist is all around superior to Sunstrike except for the fact that its Cold based. Everyone who rolled 25int on their Wiz will wish they hadn't due to the abundance of INT on Velious gear (well they probably won't give two shits but they should lol) TL-DR - Wiz will continue to be Chardok AOE bot and parked for "raid" targets |
