30 banded glove and 30 banded cloak combines.
2 skill-ups.

Some days just hurt.

Should be 10% skill-up rate. /sigh I hope somebody is enjoying the other side of the curve.

I feel you. -_- Sometimes you hit the entire 90% before the 10% happens.

I must have had 249 JC on my red enchanter for about 100-150 combines, my hands were so sore after getting 250 I had to log out and not type, wave at anyone, etc for a good while.

Whiskey and another 75 cloak combines got me to 174. I can live with that.

I blew all my plat on ~30 cabilis scale combines, only to get 0 skill ups. The smithing struggle is real.

Ok, there's bad stretches of luck in tradeskills. 60 combines for 2 skill ups is actually pretty good closer to 200, and definitely 200+. Banded is dirt cheap and be thankful you're skilling up with the classic banded trivial versus the trivial that comes with Velious. You can skip ornate altogether, currently, and jump straight into fine plate. I did tailoring 115 to 228 at roughly 100p per combine. I feel for you, but you've got it easy with smithing.
