EQ Client Windowed mode stuck on taskbar

okay just an hour ago my eq client has been messing up.

I run the game like normal. the client loads up but doesn't pop up on my screen. it stays on the taskbar, it says it's selected so it should be showing up on my screen but it doesn't. but when I alt-enter "fullscreen" the client appears but sometimes it still has the windows cursor instead of the everquest cursor. meaning its still not selected ingame I guess?

I ran as administrator and it seemed to fixed the problem. but my UI is trashed on all my characters. has anyone had this issue? is running as admin the only temporary solution?

Try shift + right clicking EQ on the taskbar, select Move and using the arrow keys. Sounds like the window may be outside the bounds of your monitor and this will let you move it back.

If not, check your eqclient.ini for discrepancies in window width and height or position offset.

hope this helps

If the above doesn't help I'd just restart.

If you can't shift right click, do an ALT Tab to the app, then ALT + Spacebar, then press M (does the same thing for move). Use your mouse by just moving it around or, use arrow keys

doesn't work the cursor turns into a multi-arrow cursor as if you can move it but once I click it disappear and it doesn't move if I don't click either

OK, when it turns into a multi-arrow, do NOT click, only use the directional keys. :)

Secondly, the multi-arrow thing sometimes doesn't move because the window is off the screen some where. I suggest holding down left arrow, or right arrow, up or down for a period of time and see if the windows comes in to view.

Make a mental point though. Meaning if you press left arrow and hold it for 10 seconds, then make mental note.

I'll try this when I'm home

The windows key plus arrows also move windows around in windows 7 and higher I believe.

Tab to the window you are trying to move, hold windows key down and move directional arrows. I use it all the time when a window gets orphaned on a dual monitor setup or something.

yeah I can see why u need to make a mental note I didn't think it would be so far out of screen I still haven't gotten it positioned so I cant even tell if its workn =P
