Bard epic / Eldrig
 

So Eldrig was up, killed him (guild bard got), went to sit at his spawn point, was told respawn is like 5 minutes, nothing spawned, just roamers. From what I can see on the wiki it's 13 minutes.

Can someone confirm what the Eldrig PH respawn time is? 5? 13? -4?

Hehe yep, it's a -4 minute respawn. When you kill the mob, whatever spawned there 4 minutes ago is now the ph. Good luck! :)

Jk. But I don't know the respawn time. Good idea to try to get multiples in succession, though - the tough part seems to be finding his ph.

I heard once you get the PH it's not too rare. Suppose I can just sit there for 14 minutes right on the spot and see what pops on top of me, and how long it takes. It's not too bad if you have one person at each of the two spots he can spawn, and one person high sunning. You may just need to highsun 200 mobs to figure it out!

As I recall, the respawn was around 15 minutes. Out of the 20ish times I've killed him he showed up 3 times, fwiw.

Just killed him last night. There are two spawn points mentioned in that wiki: p500, n4000 and north of it at p1780, n3840. Maybe they had killed the other PH spawn point and you were at the wrong one? We got him to spawn at the one closer to the OT zoneline. Respawn time there was 6-7 mins. Good luck.

Meant to say that 3 times Eldrig showed up, the rest were PHs. I've only seen him at the spawn north of OT zone line, fyi.

The hardest part is getting the PH locked down. Randomly gating every mob in SF is frustrating because inevitably you will gate a mob that only goes a short distance away and he is quickly on top of you with friends and you have to zone your aggro. Rinse and repeat until you finally get the right mob. Oh and you can't do that at nighttime do to time restrictions either. Plus you need at least one friend to sit at that spawn point to know when you get the right mob gated. Then, go camp yourself at the spawn point and kill the PH that spawns until you get Eldrig. It's soloable at that point with fear kiting.

As annoying as the camp was I got him in 4 hours. But how long it takes to get the right placeholder mob gated back is a big variable. Good luck.

Look at the red path on the wiki.

At the beginning of it, the north western point of the path, there is only a single mob which comes from the south, heading north to that point, crosses the lava river and pauses at that point for a moment. Then he will turn around and retrace that path.

That ONE mob which follows this behavior is guaranteed to be the PHer. It takes him about 30min to go through his pathing and end up there. Kill him there and then run over to Eldrig spawn and a mob will pop after 6 min.

Or you can cast lots of high Suns and hope you got the right one.
