Ive heard the Cleric Epic will become much easier soon?
 

Was in a group, discussing the cleric epic. Someone had mentioned that soon (Velious?) there will be a change that dramatically reduces the rarity of a spawn for the epic quest.

Currently there is some spawn that is highly contested, and soon it will be changed to spawn the mob on-demand instead of being a static spawn? Zordakalicus Ragefire maybe?

Any clarification is helpful!

I think you might be referring to the pearlescent shards , but I think that came much later on than velious. But I've been wrong before :)

I think the change where u spawn ragefire in Skyfire happened in 2002

Mechanically - There will be no changes to the cleric epic that change its difficulty.

Socially however, with Velious released there is likely to be more players in Velious zones and less camping Ragefire 24/7. I don't doubt there will still be Ragefire campers, I just don't think they will be doing it as hard as they typically do, especially those who use Donal's BP to duo him. In this regard you may find you have less competition to get Ragefire.

It's hopeful that ragefire is camped less (because I have a pearl I want to turn in some day!). But I wouldn't bank on it.

Unless the price of the epic drops, people will continue to MQ the epic, and ragefire's other loot is also still going to be desirable.

I don't disagree but I don't think you will see someone there 24/7 like you do currently. There will be better things those people can do with there time and instead just check Ragefire every once in awhile, rather than sock it.

But I think there might be even more pressure on Ragefire once a lot of people find out it is a Cleric, Shaman with Torpor, or go home in Velious. :D

A lot of Clerics are going to be needed like it or not in that expansion. :p

As raid healers for sure, and to some extent high end group camps.

I keep seeing that argument that everything will be better once Donals BP is nerfed. Completely ignoring that velious will bring about high ac, resist heavy armor. Cleric mana pool/hp will skyrocket. Essentially, Manastone will be the new donals.
