Question about Velious
 

I have looked around the forums and couldn't find what I was looking for so I will apologize now if it is already answered somewhere. I was looking to find out exactly what the Velious expansion added to the game. I know about the new continent and new zones....but were there (are there) any other "improvements" added to the game?

* new armor/weapons/quests
* new items for tailoring so it's less horrible to skill up
* hybrid penalty removed
* food and drink durations fixed so we can't all live on muffins and milk anymore
* new spells for several classes

In live I'm pretty sure it added a new UI but that is already the default in P99. I'm not sure that there are really other improvements added besides the new zones and a few revamped zones.

The Velious UI available in Titanium is much more robust than the original Velious UI.

Kunark UI -> Velious UI
Amount of available hotbuttons went from 6 -> 10
More customization of windows, fonts, and layouts.
Still single chat window between Kunark and Velious, whereas Titanium Velious UI allows for multiple chat windows and hotbars.

Mobs gain new abilities of Flurry (extra round of attack) and Rampage (extra attack on a second player).

Later patches during Velious allowed for snare and root to stack and "Easier" epics quests.
Introduction of Flowing Thought items.
New disciplines and spells further defining or improving class roles.


But Velious mostly consists of more dragons, giants, gods, and associated Phat Lewts.

God damn running around WW feels like a candy store. And then you realize most of the loot off the dozens of dragons in that zone is generally "meh" quality. But all those dragon models....

Biggest thing will just be a lot more New Zones for people to go to. :) And a lot more better gear. :D

And like has been said, the Hybrid Penalty drops after a few months. :cool::cool:
