Velk's Spiders Not Animals
 

It has come to my attention that none of the spiders in Velketor's Labyrinth are charmable by druids when they should be. Please fix this ASAP, it's game breaking for any druid trying to solo there.

did you try posting it in the bug section ?
with links to a classic post that shows them as animals ?

I call on the powers of the great Ele to find proof and check this.

I can tell you right now, Velketor spiders were never considered animals.

They are charmable on live with a high level Druid because around 73/78, they included insects in Druid's charming spell. But in classic, they are not considered animals for our Call of Karana spell.

Velketor isn't a Druid zone. Charm wolves in Kael, stuff in WW, most any animal in SG, rats/bats in DN... Basically every high end zone other than Velks Druid have a good option to charm. Just don't bother with Velks.

spiders aren't insects though :/

EQ doesn't care, Scarabs, Fire Beetles, Wasps, Spiders - Called them all Insectoids and allowed druids to charm.
