What's higher DPS
 

I have the following weapons on red and am trying to determine which will have the highest DPS output. Parsing is unreliable until thousands and thousands of attempts.

1) Jaelen's Katana
2) Willsapper
3) Blue epic


I've been thinking katana and blue epic despite the worse ratio of epic vs WS are better due to higher slashing skill for warriors and the atk buff of the blue epic, but am not sure. (The regular stats don't matter I'm 255 all)

For aggro I've been doing WS / katana but not sure how big the threat of strike of the chosen is, though for raids im malleting anyway.

Thoughts?

Katana is horrible for aggro. It is purely a dps weapon. Strike of the Chosen is an 80 point lifetap and lifetaps are generally known for being poor aggro.

Katana and Willsapper will be decent at keeping threat but on raids I would default to another weapon over Katana for more threat.

Blue epic should be permanently glued to your off-hand when you're DPSing. Cannot beat that attack buff.

And that kinda leaves you with only one choice for main hand...

Yes. He had a two part question. If you plan to do nothing but spew the vile coming from your server stay on the red forums. The original poster was actually able to form coherent sentences without the use of insults, which prompted a useful response, unlike anything you are able to garble.

Well that's what I'm trying to figure out. How much is the +30 ATK worth from blue sword vs. the improved ratio of new weapons? Were i to get a BoC eventually would I go Katana / BoC or is the +30 atk still that godly?

katana + epic for dps

ATK's value to DPS depends on the AC of your target. When calculating a hit you take your damage base and add it to one of twenty possible values from the shuffle bag. The better your ATK vs the target's AC, the more balls with higher damage will be in the bag. ATK owns, but to compare it to the weapon's ratio is much like comparing HP to AC.
