got Rabid Kodiak Pelt but Bordain Desapawned.
 

So I got the rabid kodiak pelt but borodain had already de-popped.

I've read multiple places that they say you can hand him the axe next time he pops, then hand him the pelt straight away to finish. Even without running round and doing the meat of the quest in the middle.

However I have noticed many people can hand him the axe and he eats the axes. Even though only the first person tagged him truly.

Can I just wait till the axe spam is over and hand him my axe then the Pelt?

Would this count as stealing someone's mob? What can I do here?

Can I hand in in pelt and axe after they done theres?

If someone else hands in the axe, you don't need to hand yours in. However, if you hand in your pelt after they hand in their axe and it despawns him you are probably going to get petitioned.

Better to just hand in your own axe first again and not try to piggy back off someone else.

He will not depop upon handing in the pelt so feel free to use someone elses spawn you don't need to turn in axe unless somone has not started the escort.

Yeah was able to hand in at the end of someone quest run, went after them so no risk of de-popping it and it worked fine for us both no problems, just gotta be quick.
