stopping, and most people here like it that way.

The devs have no plans (that they'd made aware to us) of going beyond Velious. The one caveat to that is they've said they may venture into custom content at one point, but they were clear to say that would be a server of its own (i.e. for people who are interested in that and not to force it on those who aren't). However, all of that is a "we may do this" and so there is no timeline or anything on it. They may also create a fresh server at some point, with a more timeline more closely matching release. But again, this is a TBD.

this is my most memorable part of live. first time i walked into paludal i had no idea there were bandits and got aggroed thru the hut. good times!
