Character Selection screen freeze~
 

"Everquest has detected that your client may have crashed" pops open when I reach Character Select. What can one do to fix this? I tried the Dual/Quad Core CPU fix thread (http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=25327) as well as some other things.

Resolution issue perhaps?

Does this mean I should keep it at the standard resolution? I did change it to 1600 at the options menu prior to loading.

My game is all messed up. You are probably having the same problem I am. My normal screen resolution is 1680x1050 but the game will not launch with that resolution.

What I have to do is, I have to change my desktop resolution to 1024x768 and then go into my Everquest folder and double click on the options editor and change the drop down box to 1024x768 and then launch the game. Once I am in the game, I change the resolution to 1680x1050.

I have wrestled with this problem all week (ever since I got a new, more powerful computer) and I cannot find any other way to get it to work and from the lack of responses to my thread that I posted when I first had the issue, no one else can find a better way either.

Still unable to access anything beyond Character Select (black background with UI stuff on the left side). The game works (some missing models etc) on other eqemu servers.

Can you post your Logs/dbg.txt file? This will help me look at the issue.

Anything in specific?

..have you tried reinstalling?

Also, moar RAM.

I'll try reinstalling ~ I have 4gb ram, not sure why it shows otherwise (maybe don't need anything more for eq?)
