New Blue Server
 

Want to indicate support for a new blue server, one that will start, this time, with all the classic elements intact (unlike our current server, which had many non-classic problems when it launched).
Hoping for this server to begin with Vanilla, and progress along the normal timeframe of EQ (also unlike our current server) through Velious.

Blue99 is a several year beta test for Green99

There has been talk of this, OP. It's typically referred to as Green99. Unfortunately, other than just talk about what it might be, Devs haven't provided any kind of real time line. Last I saw was "several months after velious," but with the announcement of the discord server I am not sure we'll see a Green99 for a while.

These threads crop up a lot.

There's also PvP teams up for consideration eventually :)

I would expect it probably around spring/summer of 2017 if I were a betting man. I think Discord is just a silly fun side project. Doubt anyone is going to main on it or anything.

I say they introduce a Legends server if we're gonna go with fancy rulesets.

put yer money were yer big mouth is....$888, stump it up and start your server for the classic nutcases.

personally i see eq (emu) as a fluid thing, no need to stick rigidly to classic timeline. Anyone with proper rpg knowledge could design a decent server that is balanced and captures the spirit of retro eq....whcih is just a tribute to gygax anyway!

As he said, that is the plan. Current blue server is a beta run t o get everything tuned correctly.

New server only if FV ruleset, RP strictly enforced in public chat and wipe every 3-6 months.

I don't prefer a FV ruleset, just a standard ruleset blue server that will be classic, and stop with Velious. Don't want any post-Velious content or updates, just true classic up to Velious.

Recycle 99 was briefly mentioned by one of the devs during Sirken's last podcast. He said something along the lines of 'hopefully early next year'.
