New velious lvling areas?
 

Where are the 40-50, 50-60 grouping areas now that Velious is out?

Nowhere, stay in kunark if you really want to level. Velious is slow levelling mate, except maybe tofs in that 40-45ish range I guess.

pretty much what efwan said, unless you have a group of people ready to go all set tank healer dps etc don't leave kunark. the normal newb area -> unrest -> MM -> city of mist works ez to 50-55 still. velious mobs are tougher then most, undercon as fuck also. cant speak to tofs never leveled there, but velks is good for 50-60 if you got some dps but even then i dunno some kunark area might be quicker.

and tofs keys are not soulbound, so have a coffin ready. Do it right and be rewarded, but die and be punished like hell. This mid-tier dungeon punishes you far harsher than dying in seb, i don't get why the keys arent soulbound /shrug.

BUT..... 40s+ you should really be hunting giants for cs/thurg faction while you still get exp from it (greenie grind later sucks). Slow exp though... I suppose I'm straying off-topic :/

BUT #2 ... velks is awesome for 52+ish

Velious isn't as good exp, but it's more rewarding. Same with Kunark vs old world. Quadder? go to CS

Suggestions for ToFS.

Cleric bind nearby but not right outside. (incase of pvp don't want cleric being easy target on trip to bind) Cleric be ready to gate if things go south. Make sure cleric at least has keys or corpse keys outside for emergency. If all else fails look for a necro or help in ooc with cr.


Or stay in Kunark as stated above.

crystal caverns 30-40ish , entrance of kael from EW is super 40+

Tofs is 35-50, tizmak caves in GD are sweet and 35ish as well

wyverns in CS super for kiting 40ish or even grouping.

Sirens grotto great 50ish, velks is super 50ish with loots

good groups can dungeon crawl in kobold caves in pit.

Scanned above post, saw "sirens grotto" mentioned as an exp location, immediately discarded the rest of the information.

I'm a non-guild affiliated ranger who only plays spuratically. I logged in yesterday for the first time to Red in a while and was the only person in CoM.

Wouldn't mind finding groups where I can upgrade my gear too, I have a couple decent items because of handouts but a lot of my stuff is in pretty dire need of upgrading.

Sorry you didnt play on live, but castle was amazing exp, very low hp mobs and fantastic loot if you are patient.

PS Mistress latazura does not belong in there.

So whats the deal, do we have confirmed ZEM's that do not match Kunark mobs?

Do mobs in Vel have more HP?

Or are we just better/comfortable with the kunark zones so we are better at xping there?

If we were better/comfortable in the vel xp zones, would xping there be just as good?

or is it pound for pound worse in velious?
