I've formed a guild literally called <Roleplayers>. It's just me and two RL friends, but anybody is welcome to join. We play very infrequently, so if you're looking for an active and decent-sized guild we certainly aren't it. We also aren't really high enough level to give you much of a leg up in Norrath.
Nearly the only reason to join would be to have the word <Roleplayers> beside your name so that people have an idea of what you might be about. Everybody uses /anon to go completely level/location/guild dark, and everybody uses /role to simply go level/location dark while still showing their guild tag. This is commonplace amongst competing guilds that don't want to reveal their whereabouts and antics, but still want to display their allegiances. Well what about me?! I want to use /role the way I have to assume the game intended it—to actually signify roleplaying. So I made a guild tag to do that for me. When I don't want to roleplay I simply go /anon. Pretty simple.
We aren't even heavy into roleplaying. Just dabble here and there. Mostly we just try to conduct ourselves in a way that isn't immersion-breaking.
Anyway, I suspect this post will waste as much time for you to read it as it did for me to write it! :o
