lucy ftw.. lots of great info there... altho i havent seen anything added before 2002 i think.. (not sure if that db was created at that point..)

Lucy data for db population is very unreliable for the scope of our server. :T Sometimes it comes through, most of the time it does not.

All I could find from archives is nothing :(
Even during kunark era the griffon helm wasn't listed , and on eqatlas kithicor wasn't on the mob list for the zone before kunark. That helm is cool though and would be nice to have.

Could just be noone killed him, but you'd think he'd be on eqatlas mob list. I'm not sure when call of flame quest was added. He was for sure in the game by than.

The posts on that Allakhazam's page seem to indicate the helm once dropped off of Grimfeather, but was removed. Then it was awarded in a GM event. Post from Dec 14th, 2000 indicates it had already been removed then.

Read the comments on the item in question

I don't see anything but speculation of it being a rare GM event item dating back to 2000/2001. I personally don't recall it existing in classic. That doesn't necessarily mean it didn't, just seems like something with ballin' stats like that would have been pretty known.
