pre-nerf comparison to post-nerf. and yes, the numbers were damn near identical

and yea, it's not easy. wasn't easy then and it's not easy now

Lazortag 12-02-2010 03:30 PM

IB's strategy for killing the spiroc lord was to have an enchanter charm it, have everyone /duel the enchanter, and then kill the defenseless spiroc lord that way.

Trimm 12-02-2010 03:30 PM

I guess I'm just thinking out loud then. If "pre-nerf" Spiroc was so hard, and you guys had him on farm status, what changed so much that now the "post-nerf easy" version isn't farmed 24/7 by IB? Did the Idol trick stop working?

I'm not looking to start anything, we have our method of killing him that's not exactly a secret to anyone.

With all this "worst player" talk DA was still able to farm spiroc lord actively and has killd him 5 times in a single night. DA lets ANYONE apply and have a shot. Prove yourself and if you arent a good fit, we simply part ways.

and how many people did you have on those raids? because if its more than 20-25 you can pretty much just mindlessly zerg. no skill necessary.

I'm not saying post-nerf version is easy, but unless its proven that his weird extra attacks are a new thing, then I will assume the only thing that changed was the max hit and therefore must be easier. 600 (500x4 - 350x4) extra potential damage per round is nothing to laugh at, especially since he almost always has a ton of haste and even more especially if he was still getting in extra swings, if so then it was that much harder. Skope also didn't answer my question if the log you had of ours was using 2 wingblades, either they both do or both don't, otherwise the comparison is stupid.

Either way, this whole argument is getting old, it's a no-nonsense encounter and needs fixing if he really is 6-8 rounding per swing; shame we missed it if he was doing it back then, but we were under the impression sky mobs didn't really quad but had haste to make up for it (sounds weird I know, would love to hear what's really going on up there). That said, I don't see a bug report from you guys either...has it been discussed with any dev/GMs at least?

Also, if you noticed, we hit a rough patch for a bit and it took us a while to get back to where we wanted to be. Now that we're there, it won't be long I assure you, though I'm fine with waiting cause when we farmed him, his loot table hated us. We had like 10 wingblades in a day or something stupid, not much else dropped.

I hate to stick up for DA, but that is complete bullshit when it comes to Sky during classic...maybe if you said over 35. Even then you cannot just zerg all the bosses or all of Sky would be cleared by now. You tired of being stupid yet?

Isn't that considered...cheating?

In their defense, Spiroc Lord is one target that cannot be killed with 20 level 50's. There's just no way.
