XCOM 2 sucks

How did waiting 10 minutes for boring animations after every turn become the norm in "tactics" games? You design games for a living and you haven't yet figured out that every FFT game ever made requires emulator fast forward to be playable?

Skip enemy turn option cannot be that hard to implement. I guess mods will fix it though, right?

If you paid for this you are a tumor.

XCOM enemy turns take 2-3mins max, and I doubt you spend more than 5mins on your turn unless you're a baddie. Its pretty fast paced, especially compared to FFT/older tactical RPGs.

Hell, in FFT Germinas Peak/Barius Valley rare battles or Deep Dungeon levels take for-fucking-ever.

My point exactly.

It takes about 1 minute max to do all of the decisionmaking involved in a turn. Actually doing the turn takes more like 2 min because of the animations your own people have to carry out, which is already pushing the patience of someone who values his time, but I think that part is within acceptable bounds still. Now follow that with "2-3 minutes max" of spectating and you have a cutscene/gameplay ratio that competes with Metal Gear Solid, except there's no voice acting or storytelling, just watching aliens walk around and crane their heads in the most laughably animated approximation of "looking around" ever committed to a commercial game.
