Mac Lag
 

Hey folks. Recently installed a copy on to an older macbook pro, probably a ~6yr old mac with a core 2 duo, 2gb of ram and an older Nvidia 9500 (maybe?). Using wine of course.

I've turned the settings down to low on pretty much everything, even in the advanced options, but I tend to start lagging after ~2 minutes into the game. What I'm seeing is while moving or looking around, It will kind of sputter, almost like an engine mis-firing where the fps will be fine for a second, then have a quick ~1sec lag where there is a short freeze. The computer will never seize up or anything, but it's pretty annoying when the screen kind of "catches" and doesn't go smoothly.

Any ideas?

Install windows 7 or 10 with bootcamp and run it through windows.
