Velious Hunting Help
 

I really don't know where to start with Velious hunting. I haven't found any guides that can answer level ranges for zones, good camps for drops or cash, or exceptionally good kiting or charming spots.

If anyone would share some of the better spots in Velious, I'd appreciate it!

Letting us know your current class and level (and if you're looking to solo, duo, group, etc) would be helpful here.

36 Necro, open to grouping and soloing! Also, which faction should I pick?

At 36, the cougars and dervs outside of ToFS are still blue and net decent xp. There's also giants that you can cut your teeth on.

Usually you'll start out working your coldain faction as you start out apprehensive, where the rest you'll be KoS. It really depends on what your guild is doing, but definitely check out the coldain shawl quests.

You may also want to check out Crystal Caverns.

As helpful as this community is, people dont want to give up the lesser known but very lucrative camps... online economy sim has its limits for kindness

A couple places:

-Crystal Caverns killing Orcs and Spiders for mats
-Orc Fort in EW for armor pieces and earrings/necklaces

Check out the wiki as it will list level ranges for mobs within the zones and most of the items they drop. If you intend to solo then I'd stick to Iceclad, Eastern Wastes, Crystal Caverns, and Great Divide until you grow up. After 49+ move into Wakening Land.
If you wanted to pick a faction then I'd go with Coldain/CoV. Kill giants and later mercs in WL.

That's my 2c on it.

Velious is terrible for exp compared to Old World/Kunark.

Don't level in Velious. As a necro you should be camping a static spawn.

listen if xp speed doesnt matter to OP then feel free to go to Velious to kill for xp, however if leveling faster does matter then avoid velious at all cost unless you are going there to farm for loot and not xp

Thanks for the input every one. What about TOFS as a necro? Is charming solo or duo a good idea?
