Can someone explain why people are buying negative SVM gear?

I have been seeing this in EC a lot lately. Just curious what people are doing with it.

Negative save versus magic? Enchanters give that gear to their pets so charm lasts longer and is more consistent. They kill the charm and loot the gear when they are finished.

Just dont let the enchanter pet die to a mob ;)

also good for other classes that may be able to charm, but it is great for chanters!

Charm duration is dependent on level difference, target's MR, and enchanters charisma. By helping out with your Tashanian and some crappy -MR gear, you can increase that duration . Still not sure if there is a hard/soft cap on mob MR and charm duration calculations...but every little bit helps. So long as your pet does not die while charmed, you can get those items back ;)

welp, we got to the bottom of this really easily.

I'm going to mix it up, frontal stun immunity is over rated.

No, pets do not, but if you charm a mob and break the charm before it dies, of course you can loot that mob.

AGI above 75 is worthless.
