So me and Zephany (both of us lv. 34) thought this named mob would have something interesting on it, then we realized he must be really high level... after we aggroed him. It took is about 15 minutes to kill and probably wasn't worth the effort but with a lot of kiting, dotting, healing and a suicidal pet, we managed to kill the bastard.

Yeah, the bastage was level forty-SIX!!! Not one post on Zam has anyone of our level killing him, let alone with our uber cloth gear. :D

Yeah. It was a bit disappointing but at least it cleared out the way for a while. Not much motivation to take him on again, though.

@Goobles - LOL truly tragic.

Sometimes it's fun to do something challenging, whether its rewarding or not! Every experience adds up and has the potential to make you better player(s), it's important to know this.

I doubted Zephany (bf) for the past 3 years when it came to EQ and I have to say I probably won't go back to any other MMO :). The challenges in EQ are actually quite fun and it is nice to see a game where tactics are just as important as your level/gear. Hopefully I won't get too addicted by the time I start working again. Talk about sleepless nights :).
