Shaman spell book at lv 29

This is the case with all the casting classes. You won't use probably 60-75% of your spells except in very rare situations (if at all).

You'll also outlevel a good number of spells before you can afford them, making buying them pointless.

If you're looking at your spell book for longer than the 2 seconds it takes to mem the spell; if you're actually flipping through the pages; that's where you're going wrong.

Right click an empty spell slot.
Select category of spell.
Select subcategory.
Select spell (highest lvl is at top, and they're color coded for self only / single target / ae) and it is memmed.

Or better yet mem some spellsets, and make some hotkeys.

You've prob got 6 spells you use 90% of the time (Root / malosi / slow / something else / canni / heal). Mem just those 6 spells, leave the other 2 spell slots blank, and save that spellset.

Now unmem those spells.

You've got 9 left combinations to get to the 10 memspellset max.

In those two spell slots you left blank when you saved your all-the-time list, mem some combos. Sow/haste. HP/Sta. Agi/Dex. Chlor/Rage. Str/Cha. Dot/Dot. Pet/Lev. Invis/See invis. Blind / Dispell. Whatever spells suit your play. Save those 9 spellsets - make sure they only have those two spells memed.

Make a hotkey for each of your spellsets. (/memspellset whateveryounamedit )

Now you're one click away from 99% of the spells you'll ever use, and two clicks away from a full spell bar when you die.

Oh - and stop looking at the spell book.

I think his point was more, "Why did I waste money on these spells I don't use?"

I'm not sure what you're asking here, but the fact that you're even reorganizing your spell book leads me to believe you should reread ElanoraBryght's post, and live by it.

If you are indeed wondering what spells to skip, I think you have already bought most of them. When you are rushing through those 1-20 levels you probably didn't need to get every str/sta/agi/dex spell because you were getting upgrades so quickly. Levels 34+ tend to come much slower for casual types, and you won't see those upgrades quite so fast.

You might be tempted to skip CHA or some of the more situational spells like nullify magic or enstill, but in those situations where you want to use them you'll be kicking yourself, if your group doesn't do it for you.

The frenzy/fury/rage buffs regen HP, so they are exremely usefull for a shaman.

Frenzy doesn't.

I saw this and got excited because I haven't heard of this before. I tried it in game and it didn't work. When I right click on an empty spell slot, nothing happens. Anyone know what the problem could be?
