Kael Giants and Quest Armor Drops
 

Which giants drop the Thurg Quest Armor pieces? Is it only the giants in the Arena, or do the see invis giants before arena also drop them? Do they all drop them at different rates?

Anyone know? The wiki isn't too helpful on this one.

lieutenants and harder, even down to 4 way, can drop the armor pieces.

those mobs are pretty rare down there, but they exist. i've seen scrub groups farm that little nook profitably.

I've seen armor drop off the lower see-invis giants than Lt.'s but with low frequency. Giants in the hallways leading up to the arena do indeed drop armor. The giants up in Tormax's wing also drop corroded armor, and they seemingly have a better drop rate than the stuff near the arena. "Plate house" event giants drop plate of course; supposedly giants in that vicinity can drop the other types of armor but I've not seen it personally.
