Best Video Game of All Time!

X is a tale of two mature people who are caught up in a matter of life. I think the relationship in this is one of the more organic ones. I love X for its take on how to deal with the circumstances -- the characters struggle is mirrored by the world itself. It's a gorgeous, amazing world, but there are obviously some HUGE issues going on as well. It's a story about two grieving, real, damaged people find each other and try to take care of each other. Yuna does everything she can to "save everyone, save [him]" and Tidus returns the favor in trying to do what he can to "protect Yuna." It's a tale where two partially dysfunctional people come to mutual understanding and something bittersweet emerges. If you played this back in 2001 you know why its the best game ever made. Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6/7/9 and LoD ain't got shit on FFX and yes i played all of those on release day. TLDR: The X/X-2 HD remake is on steam/psn for $30 buy it but skip playing the sequel. |
FFX gets a worse rap than it deserves but you're a mong to compare it to Chrono Trigger
|
FFX marks the downfall of the final fantasy series
Game was terrible compared to 6/9/4 and I won't even touch that chrono trigger comparison |
^so silly to even name 9 and leave out 7. Frankly I thought 9 was meh compared to 7, but still enjoyable.

FFX was a great game, just an annoying beta cuck main character and such, but gameplay was def the best out of ff series
|
Did not like either main character. Yuma was a boring whiny stupid girl and Tidus was a confused little boy, lacking the strength, mystique and insanity of great characters like Cloud. Lulu saved the game though. Belt dress ftw!
Also liked the sphere grid. |
tidus was a ghost

Final Fantasy drones are some die heart people man. I've always been a Dragon Quest fanboy myself. Or Ultima.
I could probably play ultima and DQ games for the rest of my life and never be bored. oops. sorry uhh,. FF3 (US) was good! SNES (I think it was FF 6 in japan?) The later games had too much anime/cinematic for my taste. |
